The boys’ varsity silver golf team took another trip to the top of the podium at Stonetree Golf Course. The boys took the first place trophy at the Ellison Invitational by shooting a team total of 292, resetting the team scoring record. The boys finished fourteen strokes ahead of second place Belton and twenty-eight strokes ahead of the third place team, Cedar Park. The boys were led by Junior Jackson Null who shot a fantastic two under par 70. That 70 was also good for the tournament championship. Jackson was followed by a pair of 72s from Juniors Miles Parker, who took home the 2nd place individual medal and Jack Brown, who took third place in a scorecard playoff (This was also a personal record for Jack in tournament golf!). Senior Nick Brooks was fourth on the team posting an excellent 78 (also a tournament PR). Senior Rawley Soliz carded a very nice 83 (once again, a personal tournament low score) to round out the team. The boys are excited to tee it up again at the Bobby Peschel Memorial Tournament hosted by Salado High School at Mill Creek Golf Course on October the 8th.
