The Bronco Boys Golf Teams pulled onto Fort Cavasos ready to attack the very difficult Courses of Clear Creek. That attitude paid off as the Varsity Silver Golf Team pulled off a first-place finish, besting runner up Tiger One by six strokes. The Silver team was led by junior Jackson Null who posted a tournament best one under par 71. Jackson also took closest to the pin honors on the difficult sixth hole, hitting the ball to within six feet. He then proceeded to roll in the birdie putt! Junior Miles Parker followed with a great 84, having never played the extremely difficult track. Senior Nick Brooks was right behind Miles turning a really nice 87. Next up on the team, sophomore Austin Watson turned in a very solid 91. Senior Rawley Soliz rounded out the team with a really good 93, also having never played the military course.
The Silver team also shined at Courses of Clear Creek, finishing third in the tournament. Junior Jack Brown took advantage of a practice round last week and turned his gained information into a fantastic 78 on his scorecard. Senior Hudson Nix stayed extremely steady throughout his round and turned in an awesome 86. Junior Gavin Kerr, coming off surgery, turned in a 95, which included taking long drive honors on the par five fourteenth hole. Sophomore Kaiden Beaty’s 105 contributed to the team total of 364, again having never seen punitive greens at Clear Creek. Junior Brayden Hoff completed the team with a score of 109.
