A cold and foggy morning gave way to a beautiful warm day as the Lady Bronco Golf Red Team played in their second tournament of the Spring on Monday, February 24. The tournament was hosted by China Spring at Lake Waco Golf Course.
The weather wasn’t the only thing that slowed the Red Team down to start the tournament. Last week’s frigid temperatures put a halt on practices so there was some rust that had to be worked through.
As the sun came out and the weather warmed up, so did the team. Though none of the girls scored the way they wanted to, they all felt like they improved and hit the ball better than they have all spring.
Freshman Aurora Nance led the Red Team with 118. Senior Lexie Holler and Junior Nena Tamarez both shot 121 and Kaylee Carubelli, freshman, had 122.
The Red Team will play again next Monday, March 3 at Sammons Golf Course.
