The Lake Belton Bronco Varsity Baseball team raced out to a 5-0 lead in the first 3 innings and never looked back en route to a 5-2 win over the Lake Travis Cavaliers. A Cooper Mees single in the 2nd plated Zavian Rodriguez to open the scoring in the 2nd inning. The Broncos followed that up with a big 4 run 3rd inning highlighted by a Rodriguez 2 RBI single. Brandon Holley was the starting pitcher and went 4 scoreless before being relieved by 3 different Bronco hurlers. The pitching staff did not allow a free pass in the contest, finishing the night allowing only 2 runs on 7 hits. The Broncos improve to 10-3-2 on the season with a non-district tilt at College Station on Friday. After Friday's' game, the Broncos will open district play at home against the Belton Tigers.
