The Lake Belton High School girl's powerlifting team showcased their strength and determination at the Texas High School Women's Powerlifting Association (THSWPA) State Championship this past weekend in Edinburg. Representing their school with pride, three athletes—Aleyna Castor, Scarlytt Cotham, and Jaya Lisenbe—competed among the state’s best lifters.

Senior Scarlytt Cotham made a strong impression, finishing 7th in her weight class. Her performance was a testament to her dedication and hard work throughout the season. Fellow senior Aleyna Castor also put forth a commendable effort, demonstrating her power and resilience on the state stage.

Junior Jaya Lisenbe delivered an outstanding performance, securing 4th place in her weight class. Her achievement highlights her potential for even greater success in the upcoming season as she continues to develop her strength and technique.
