The Lake Belton Broncos opened District 16-5A with a 9-0 win over the Belton Tigers. The win moves the Broncos record to 11-4-2 and 1-0 in district play. Lake was led by a complete game shutout from Brandon Holley. The Bronco offense supported Holley with 8 hits, and the defense behind him was just as stellar as he was. The Broncos will return to action on Friday at Tidwell Field to conclude the 2 game series. First pitch is slated for 7 p.m.
