The Lake Belton High School girls track and field teams dominated the competition at the district championship meet, claiming the title in both the junior varsity and varsity divisions. The Broncos showcased their speed, strength, and determination.

The girls started off day 1 strong earning points in several field events.
JV girls Discus: Lilly Walden took 6th.
JV girls High jump: Ayaana Omisola and Layla King took 1st and 3rd.
JV girls Long jump: Ayaana Omisola and Gabbie Hamilton took 1st and 2nd.
JV girls Pole Vault: Avelyn Ponce took 1st place.
JV girls Triple jump: Ayaana Omisola took 1st and Avery Reinhardt took 3rd.
Varsity girls Discus: Isalei Simpson took 5th.
Varsity girls High jump: Dannika Kelley finished 2nd qualifying for area and Katie Firmin in 6th.
Varsity girls Long jump: Aleya Russell finished in 5th place.
Varsity girls Pole Vault: Abby Rydberg finished 1st qualifying for area, Emmi Lloyd finished 5th and Brynley Haynes finished 6th.
Varsity girls Shot put: Zoey Johnson finished 6th.
Varsity girls Triple Jump: Audrey Mughelli took 2nd qualifying for area, Camryn Mikulas took 3rd qualifying for area and Dannika Kelley took 5th.

Our distance girls had a great showing in the 3200 meter run. Claire Henn finished 2nd and Alayna Fulton 5th for JV girls. Varsity girls Sarah Gray and Elizabeth Sandlin both qualified with area with a 3rd and 4th place finish.

Day 2 we started out strong with our 4x100 relays.
JV girls with Gabbie Hamilton, Carlie Johnson, Keyalah Bradley, and Shekayla Munoz finished 3rd.
Varsity girls with Aleya Russell, Nylah Berrian, Kennedy Hall, and Bella Garcia qualified for area with a 1st place finish and a school record 48.24.
JV girls 800 meter swept with Lucy Loa in 1st, Susan Martinez in 2nd and Izzy Dixon in 3rd.
Varsity girls 800 meters Chelsie Miller qualified for a area with a 2nd place finish and Alexa King finished in 5th.
JV girls 100 hurdles Jaycie Sheard took 1st place and Avery Reinhardt 5th.
Varsity girls qualified 3 girls in the 100 hurdles to area with CoCo Camacho in 2nd, Alexa Harbour in 3rd, and Rayne Cory in 4th.
JV girls 100 meters Keyalah Bradley took 6th place.
Varsity girls 100 meters Bella Garcia finished 5th.
JV girls 4x200 relays finished 2nd with Gabbie Hamilton, Keyalah Bradley, Symone Jefferson, and Ayaana Omisola.
Varsity girls 4x200 qualified for area in 4th place with Ty'anah Debose, Moriah Rydberg, Kennedy Hall, and Aleya Russell.
JV girls 400 meters Susan Martinez finished 2nd, Layla King in 3rd, and Izzy Dixon in 6th place.
Varsity girls 400 meters Nylah Berrian qualified for area in 1st place and a new school record in 58.04, and Chelsie Miller qualified in 3rd place.
JV girls 300 hurdles Gemma Pierce place 1st and Avery Reinhardt 3rd.
Varsity girls 300 hurdles qualifying for area in 2nd place Dannika Kelley, qualifying in 3rd Moriah Rydberg, and finishing in 5th Camryn Mikulas.
JV girls 1600 meters Layla King finished 1st, Lucy Loa 2nd and Alayna Fulton 5th.
Varsity girls 1600 meters qualifying for area with a new school record Alexa King finished 3rd in 5:37.
JV girls 4x400 took 2nd place in the 4x400 with Izzy Dixon, Gabby Nunez, Gemma Pierce, and Susan Martinez.
Varsity girls 4x400 brought an exciting finish to end the meet qualifying for 1st place with Chelsie Miller, Audrey Mughelli, Bella Garcia, Nylah Berrian.

I am so incredibly proud of these girls. They worked hard all season and they have proven that hard work pays off.
