The Bronco Varsity Silver Golf Team finished their season tied for tenth at the Region III 5-A tournament at Tanglewood Country Club in Pottsboro April 16th and 17th. The boys battled tricky greens and substantial winds and fought until the last swing. The team was led by junior Jackson Null who had a two-day total of 166, posting identical 83s on both days. Right behind Jackson, Junior Miles Parker turned in a total of 168. Miles’ first day score was 85, and he improved on day two with an 83. Third on the team, Jack Brown trailed Miles by one stroke with a two-day total of 169. Seniors Nick Brooks and Rawley Soliz both had total scores of 170 for the two days.
Also playing as medalists from district 16, Sophomore Austin Watson shot a two-day score of 167 and Senior Hudson Nix carded a total score of 171.
The boys had another successful season, winning several tournaments and finishing as runner-up in the district tournament. We wish all of our seniors the best of luck moving forward and the returning boys are excited to give next year their best efforts and are anxious to return to Tanglewood for a little payback!
