The Lake Belton Freshman Red volleyball team delivered a statement performance over the weekend, going undefeated in the Copperas Cove Tournament and showcasing exceptional teamwork, grit, and skill across the court.

The Broncos were a force from the service line, with Alexis Walker, Caydence Kanzenback, and Aria Newman leading the charge. Their aggressive and consistent serving put pressure on opponents early and often, helping Lake Belton gain momentum in each match.

On the offensive end, outside hitters Riley Hardin and Jordyn Landry were relentless. Landry notched double-digit kills on the day, using her power and precision to keep defenders on their heels. Right side hitter Presley Pilkington also had a standout day, contributing key kills and adding depth to the Broncos’ attacking options. The strong offensive output was made possible by the steady setting of Caydence Kanzenback and Brooklyn O'Brien, who distributed the ball with control and vision throughout the tournament.

The middle of the net was equally dominant thanks to Aiyana Roundtree, Charli Williams, and Aria Newman. The trio combined for numerous blocks and kills, disrupting opposing offenses and swinging momentum back in Lake Belton’s favor whenever needed.

Defensively, Brynlie Wurts and Elsa Hayes anchored the back row with hustle and smart positioning. Their ability to read the attack and keep plays alive proved crucial in several tightly contested sets.

During this undefeated tournament run, the Lake Belton Freshman Red managed to take down several higher classification leveled teams. It was a great start to the tournament season for the Lady Broncos. The Lady Broncos will resume tournament play next weekend, as they host the Belton ISD Sub-Varsity Tournament.
