The Lake Belton Cross Country Teams competed in the Kiwanis Midway Cross Country Invitational today. The Broncos ran in the 5A-6A races and faced some tough competition. The varsity girls finished a strong 3rd place with the following girls medaling: Keira Dzenowski (5th), Lucy Loa (7th), Sarah Gray (13th), and Jenna Benedick (16th). Alayna Fulton was close behind, finishing 22nd. The varsity boys finished in 7th place and were led by Wyatt Potts, Cooper Schels, Josiah Briggs, Tyler Adkins Beltran, and Drew Houston. On the JV side, the girls finished 3rd and were led by the following medalists: Isabela Romero Meza (8th), Demi Fisher (10th), Camryn Mikulas (14th), Susan Antunez Martinez (15th), London Lynn (18th), and Alyse Newby (20th). The JV boys also finished 3rd and were led by Robert Thomas (6th) and Robert Klotz (12th).
The JV team will travel to Salado next Thursday and the varsity team will compete in Grand Prairie next Friday.
