The Freshman Red volleyball team made a strong statement during pool play at the 2025 BISD Sub Varsity Showdown, going undefeated and earning a well-deserved spot in the gold bracket for championship play.

They opened the tournament with a dominant win over Waco University, securing the match in straight sets (25-15, 25-8). From the start, the team’s energy and quick ball movement set the tone for the rest of the day. The front row applied consistent pressure at the net, while back-row players kept rallies alive with disciplined passing.

Their second match against Midway was more competitive, but Freshman Red maintained control throughout. With strong communication and smart plays, they took both sets 25-20 and 25-18. The team showed maturity under pressure and was able to adjust to Midway’s pace

In their final match of pool play, Freshman Red faced Lampasas and once again delivered a confident and composed performance. With clean execution and continued teamwork, they closed out the day with another sweep (25-16, 25-10).

With three straight-set victories, Freshman Red finishes pool play undefeated and advances to the gold bracket. They’ve earned a top seed and will begin bracket play this Saturday at 8:00 a.m.
