Lady Broncos Claim Silver Bracket Championship in JV Division at Belton ISD Sub-Varsity Tournament

The Lake Belton Silver Freshman Volleyball Team delivered an unforgettable performance at the Belton ISD Sub-Varsity Tournament this weekend, walking away as champions of the Silver Bracket in the Junior Varsity Division.

Despite competing up a division, the Lady Broncos showed heart, hustle, and high-level play throughout the tournament. The team racked up four impressive wins against strong JV-level competition.

The Broncos started the day with a strong showing against Jarrell High School, securing a 25-21, 26-16 win with consistent play and composure. They followed that up by dominating Whitney High School, posting scores of 25-8 and 25-17 thanks to sharp serving and aggressive attacking.

The highlight of the tournament came in an absolute thriller against Lorena High School. In a match that had the entire gym on edge, the Lady Broncos pulled off a clutch 25-22, 29-27 victory, refusing to back down in the face of pressure.

To seal the championship, Lake Belton faced off with Temple High School. The Lady Broncos earned the title with a 25-18, 25-23 victory, capping off their tournament run.

Behind the service line, the Lady Broncos were lethal—combining for a total of 30 aces across todays four matches, keeping their opponents constantly on their heels.

Kylie Morgenroth was the glue of the offense, impressing with her setting abilities and consistently delivering perfect dimes to her hitters. Her court awareness and precision helped drive the Broncos' attacking rhythm.

The offensive firepower was led by outside hitters Kaleileana Cress, Aspen Cory, and Jordynn Morris, who delivered powerful swings and key kills when it mattered most. Right side hitters Natalie Tucker and Azeley Johnson also stepped up big, providing smart, aggressive play at the net.

In the middle, Kayleigh Jackson, Alexis White, and newcomer Charlotte Williams formed a formidable front line, also contributing the the powerful offensive attack. Williams made an impact in her first tournament with the Lady Broncos.

Defensively, Taylan Cole and Aubrey Henderson were nothing short of a fortress in the back row. Their relentless hustle and fearless dives helped turn the tide in crucial moments, proving vital to the Broncos’ success throughout the tournament.

The tournament win is a strong sign of things to come for this talented group of Freshman student-athletes.
