The Lake Belton Freshman Silver team came out strong Wednesday night, securing a 34-18 victory over the Killeen Freshman team. The Broncos leaned on explosive playmakers and a tough, disciplined defense to earn the win.
On offense, Erick Harness powered his way to two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to finish drives with authority. David Casanova added a score of his own, keeping the momentum in Lake Belton’s favor. Braxton Bronson continued to shine as a versatile threat, finding the end zone twice to cap off an impressive performance.
A big part of that offensive success came from the trenches, where Tiger Maxwell and Antonio Conchos delivered dominating blocks all night long. Their work up front opened lanes in the running game and gave the offense the spark it needed to control the pace.
Defensively, it was a complete team effort. The Broncos’ entire front seven shut down Killeen’s rushing attack, playing with relentless energy and discipline. Their ability to hold the line and make key stops was crucial in keeping the Kangaroos from finding any consistent rhythm.
With the win, the Lake Belton Freshman Silver continue to build confidence and momentum heading into next week.
