The JV Lady Broncos delivered another electrifying performance Tuesday night, outlasting the Lady Cougars of China Spring in a thrilling match that tested their resilience, sharpened their chemistry, and showcased the kind of heart that defines champions.
The first set was a battle of nerves and grit, with both teams trading punches in a razor-close contest. But when the final point dropped, it was the Lady Broncos who stood tall and setting the stage for a second set that would erupt with momentum and magic.
That momentum came roaring in thanks to Defensive Specialist Kenna Morrison, who stepped behind the service line and ignited a seven-point run that flipped the script. Her serve was steady, strategic, and relentless but it was her and her teammates’ defensive hustle and offensive firepower that kept her there. Morrison’s poise under pressure helped set the tone for the rest of the match, and her leadership in that moment was nothing short of clutch.
Meanwhile, Middle Blocker Morgan Campbell was a force of nature at the net. Playing with fearless aggression, she disrupted China Spring’s rhythm with towering blocks and quick reads. One of the night’s most electric moments came when Campbell delivered a perfect pass to Setter Kamryn Daniels, who dropped a dime to MB Aleskee Lutz and Lutz unleashed a kill that sent the crowd into a frenzy.
As a unit, the Lady Broncos were firing on all cylinders:
• 30 kills, led by Riley Detwiler and Gracie Lott with 7 apiece
• 22 assists, with Kamryn Daniels dishing out 20 of them
• 28 digs, paced by Libero Kristen Morales with 8
• 7 aces, including 3 from Daniels
• 6 blocks, with Campbell owning 5 of them
With the win, the JV Lady Broncos improve to 20–3, continuing their dominant run through the season.
The Lake Show hits the road Friday for a showdown at Weiss High School, their final regular season matchup before district play begins Tuesday. If tonight’s performance is any indication, the Lady Broncos are locked in and ready to make noise.
