Varsity volleyball traveled to Pflugerville Weiss on Friday and competed point-for-point in sets 1, 3, and 4, but ultimately couldn't take the victory on the night. The Broncos struggled to finish out a close 1st set and couldn't get back in a rhythm for set 2. In set 3, with a fire ignited, the Broncos dug deep and battled every rally for a 28-26 win. Set 4 was off to a strong start, but ultimately could not finish on top. Kaitlyn Hutchins to no surprise dominated offensively with 19 kills, followed by a powerful 9 from Ava Wood. Abbi Jones added 6 and Kinzi Johnson, Thia Allison, and Madi Bingham finished at 4 apiece. Haylee Kasner kept the Weiss offense frustrated by picking up 16 digs, followed by Bingham's 12 and Hutchins' 10. Wood added a strong defense of her own with 6 blocks followed by Hutchins and Johnson's 5 each.
