In one of their most electric performances of the season, the Lady Broncos battled through adversity on the road to take down a tough opponent in a three-set thriller. After dropping the opening set 25-20, the Lady Broncos stormed back to win the second set 25-15 and carried that momentum into a nail-biting final set, clinching the match 25-20.
The turning point of the night came in the second set when the Lady Broncos found themselves trailing. That’s when Aspen Cory stepped to the service line and delivered four clutch aces during a crucial run, flipping the momentum squarely in favor of the Broncos. As a team, the Lady Broncos served up 13 aces, keeping constant pressure on their opponents from the line.
Setter Kylie Morgenroth was in rhythm all night, reaching double digits in assists and running the offense with poise and precision. She connected seamlessly with outside hitter Kaleileana Cress, who was unstoppable on the attack, finishing with a team-high nine kills. Outside hitter Jordynn Morris and middle blocker Kayleigh Jackson also tallied multiple kills, contributing to a well-rounded offensive effort.
Defensively, the Lady Broncos owned the net. Middle blocker Alexis White led the team in blocks, while Charlotte Williams not only added to the block party but also hammered down arguably the hardest hit of the night, igniting the bench.
In the back row, libero Taylan Cole and defensive specialist Aubrey Henderson were steady and relentless, combining for double-digit digs and keeping rallies alive in high-pressure moments.
This victory couldn’t have come at a better time, as the Lady Broncos now turn their attention to their first district matchup of the season, against district rivals, the Belton Tigers.
