The Lake Belton Lady Broncos volleyball team powered past cross-town rival Belton High Tigers in a commanding performance to open district play. Behind a relentless service game and a balanced offensive attack, the Lady Broncos claimed victory in straight sets. [25-17 / 25-17]
Lake Belton racked up double-digit aces on the night, setting the tone early and keeping the Tigers on their heels. Kylie Morgenroth led the charge from the service line, dropping in three aces and sparking multiple scoring runs that gave the Lady Broncos early momentum.
The offensive firepower didn’t stop there. Kaleileana Cress, Jordynn Morris, and Aspen Cory each delivered standout performances on the outside, consistently finding holes in the Belton defense and putting away key kills at crucial moments.
In the middle, Charlotte Williams anchored the net with a strong defensive showing, stacking up blocks that shut down the Tigers' attack and helped swing the momentum in Lake Belton’s favor.
The Lady Broncos' back row held firm all night, with Aubrey Henderson and Taylan Cole making smart reads, sharp digs, and clutch passes to keep plays alive and transition into offense smoothly.
This win sets a strong tone for the rest of district play as Lake Belton looks to build off this early momentum. With contributions coming from all areas of the court, the Lady Broncos are showing they have the depth and drive to be a serious contender this season.
Up next, the Lady Broncos continue district play this Friday at home against Ellison High School.
