Freshman Silver Dominates in District Win

The Lady Broncos volleyball team delivered a commanding performance in district play Friday night, sweeping their opponent in straight sets with scores of 25-13 and 25-9 over Ellison High on #GoGoldNight.

The Lady Broncos set the tone with aggressive serving, solid defense, and a relentless offensive attack. Natalie Tucker, who was on fire at the service line. Tucker tallied four aces and was just shy of double-digit assists.

Kylie Morgenroth once again proved to be the team’s steady hand at setter, consistently delivering well-placed balls that kept the offense rolling throughout both sets.

On the offensive side, Azeley Johnson had a standout night on the right side, leading the team in kills and keeping the opposing defense on its heels. Aspen Cory also made her presence felt on the outside, contributing several key kills.

In the middle, Kayleigh Jackson was a dominant force. She racked up monster kills and came through with multiple huge blocks.

Defensively, Taylan Cole anchored the back row as the libero, leading the team in digs and keeping rallies alive with her quick reactions and court awareness. Charlotte Williams, typically a middle blocker, also stepped up in the back row with several digs of her own, showing her versatility and hustle.

The Lady Broncos played lights-out volleyball as they improve their district record to 2-0. The Lady Broncos will suit up next week on Tuesday, in a match up against district opponent University High School.
