The Lake Belton High School girls' basketball team delivered a dominant performance yesterday at the I-35 Showdown in Round Rock, walking away with two impressive victories and a perfect 2-0 record for the showcase. The team showed excellent teamwork and individual talent in both contests, defeating Glenn High School and Manor High School.

Game 1: Lake Belton 55, Glenn 49
The Broncos kicked off their showcase with a hard-fought 55-49 victory over Glenn. The team found its rhythm early, putting up 24 points in the first period. Key to the win was a high-percentage shooting day and stellar free-throw accuracy.
Aniyah Taylor showcased her offensive versatility, contributing 15 points. She was clutch from the free throw line, hitting a 3/4. Taylor also made a major impact defensively and on the boards, adding 5 rebounds and 4 steals to the team's victory.
Brylee Craddick was lights out from long range, going 2/3 from the three-point line and contributing 8 points for the Lady Broncos.
Gemma Peirce and Alexa King also provided a spark, adding 7 points and 5 rebounds and 4 rebounds respectively.
Game 2: Lake Belton 50, Manor 31
The second game saw the Broncos lock down on defense to secure a commanding 50-31 win against Manor. The team’s defense was stout, holding Manor to just 14 points in the second half.
Brylee Craddick led the team in scoring, putting up 11 points and showcasing her sharp shooting by hitting three 3-pointers.
Olivia Dann was a consistent offensive presence, adding 10 points.
Aniyah Taylor continued her strong day with 7 points, and Ayanna Omisola contributed 6 points to seal the win.
The Broncos look sharp and ready for a successful season!
