The Lake Belton Freshman Silver team delivered a complete performance Thursday night, earning an impressive 27-0 victory over the Leander High School Freshman squad. From the opening kickoff, the Broncos set the tone on both sides of the ball — executing with precision on offense and shutting down the Lions defensively.
QB Carter Johnson led the way through the air, throwing two touchdown passes — the first to Da’Kadrian Jackson, who showed off his speed and hands, and the second to KJ Bridges, who continues to be a reliable target for the Bronco offense. On the ground, RB Erick Harness powered the rushing attack with two touchdown runs, showcasing his blend of strength and agility to cap off a balanced offensive effort.
Defensively, the Broncos were lights out, pitching a shutout thanks to a total team effort. CB Cayden Alexander made a huge play by forcing and recovering a fumble, giving the Broncos key momentum early. CB Jadrian Rodriguez added to the defensive highlight reel with a clutch interception, helping seal the game and keep Leander off the scoreboard.
It was a statement win for the Freshman Silver team, who continue to grow stronger each week and play with confidence on both sides of the ball.
The Broncos will look to keep their winning streak alive next Thursday as they take on Cedar Park High School.
