The Lake Belton Lady Broncos traveled to North Crowley this weekend to compete in the Pink October Showcase, hosted by Swin City. This pre-season event featured strong competition and provided a valuable opportunity for the team to test themselves early.

The Lady Broncos faced three talented opponents—Mansfield Summit, Rock Hill, and Cleburne—and although the team came up short in each game, there were many positive takeaways throughout the weekend.

In Game 1 against Mansfield Summit, Lake Belton showed balanced scoring led by Aniah Taylor(7 points), Alexa King (6 points), and Gemma Pierce (5 points). Game 2 featured another competitive effort against Rock Hill, highlighted by Alexa King’s 8 points and Ariella Polley’s 4 points, while several players contributed across the stat sheet on defense and rebounding. In the final matchup versus Cleburne, Layla King led the way with 5 points, with Aniah Taylor, Olivia Dann, and Brylee Craddick each adding solid offensive production.

Despite the results, the Lady Broncos displayed strong effort, teamwork, and glimpses of their potential. The weekend also revealed areas for growth as the team continues to prepare for the upcoming season.

Lake Belton would like to thank Swin City for hosting a well-run event and providing a platform for players to compete and improve. The Lady Broncos are excited about what lies ahead—tryouts begin Wednesday, October 22, and the team is eager to build on what they learned and continue to grow together.
