Lady Bronco Golf Teams Compete at LBHS Girls Tourney

Lake Belton Girls Golf hosted their 3rd Annual tournament on Wednesday, October 22 at Sammons Golf Course. Both the Silver and Red Teams competed in the tournament on the best weather day of the year, so far.
Lady Bronco Silver finished the tournament in 5th place with the Red team close behind in 7th. Many Lady Bronco Golfers set new personal best scores on their round!
For the Silver Team, Senior Suellen Tillis led the way with the lowest score. Suellen finished in 8th place individually and shot a new personal best 103. Her previous personal best was 106 at Stonetree in the Spring of 2025. Tillis had four pars and four bogeys. Making her Silver Team debut, Freshman Hayleigh McConnell had the next lowest score for the Silver Team, shooting a 111. She had one par and four bogeys. Lillie Mikes, junior, also had a personal best round, shooting a 112, beating her previous best round by one stroke. Lillie had one par and four bogeys. The next lowest round for Lady Bronco Golf Silver was Sophomore Kaylee Carubelli. Carubelli shot 113. Kaylee had a birdie, a par and three bogeys on her round. And finishing up the scoring for the Silver team was sophomore Aurora Nance, who tied her previous best round, which she shot at Stonetree just a few weeks ago, with a 116. Nance had one bogey. The Silver Team shot a team score of 439.
The Red Team also had a great showing! They shot a 463 and ended in 7th place. All the golfers playing on the Red Team on Wednesday were freshmen. Whitley Truett led the way with a great 107! It was a new record low round for her by seven shots. Truett had a birdie, two pars, and two bogeys. Emory Jolivet had the second lowest round with a 114. She had a par and three bogeys. Kaylee Holler had a new personal best round with a 119 and was the third lowest round for the Red Team. Holler had two bogeys. Emily McMillon and Chloe Adkinson rounded out the scoring with a 123 and 124, respectively. Both set new personal bests. McMillon had one bogey on the day.
The Red Team will be in action again on Monday, October 27 at Sammons in the Temple Tournament.
The Silver Team will play their next tournament on November 5 at Star Ranch in Hutto. Then both teams will conclude their fall season on November 20 at the Waco ISD HOT Fall Invitational at Cottonwood Creek.
