The Lake Belton Freshman Silver squad battled hard on Thursday night but ultimately fell short in a 42–21 loss to a talented Cedar Park Freshman team. Despite the outcome, the Broncos showed flashes of big-play ability and continued to fight until the final whistle.

The offense found its rhythm with QB Carter Johnson connecting with Braxton Brunson for a touchdown through the air, showcasing great timing and execution. Kyle Lighthall added a tough rushing touchdown, powering through defenders to find the end zone. Special teams gave the Broncos a spark when KJ Bridges returned a kickoff all the way for a touchdown, giving the sideline and crowd a surge of energy.

Though the scoreboard didn’t reflect their effort, the Broncos’ determination and teamwork were on full display. They’ll look to bounce back next week when they travel to face Georgetown High School on Thursday, October 30th.

Keep fighting, Broncos — every rep, every snap, every game builds the foundation.
