The Lake Belton Broncos wrapped up their 2025 football season Wednesday night in Waco, taking on the Live Oak Falcons in a tough matchup that saw the Broncos fall short despite a determined effort on both sides of the ball. The loss brought the Broncos’ final record to 2–8, closing a season defined by growth, grit, and perseverance.

The Bronco offense showed flashes of great execution throughout the game, moving the ball efficiently behind strong performances from Thomas Gardner, Anthony Garza, Zyler Figueroa, and Treyvon Hutton. The unit found success sustaining drives and gaining solid yardage, but costly turnovers prevented them from finding the end zone and capitalizing on key opportunities.

Defensively, the Broncos put together a strong and physical performance, but struggled to contain a high-powered Live Oak offense that managed to score on multiple drives. Standout defensive efforts came from Mason Schrecenghost, Oakleigh Ware, Cameron Barnes, Triton Vaden, and Mason Cates, who made big plays and provided leadership on the field.

Though the scoreboard didn’t reflect their full potential, the Broncos demonstrated remarkable improvement and resilience throughout the season. Their record does not tell the story of the progress, teamwork, and character development this group displayed week after week. As the 2025 season comes to a close, the Broncos can be proud of the growth they achieved — not just as athletes, but as young men.
