The Lake Belton Boys Varsity Silver Golf Team teed it up at the 5th Annual Bronco Invitational at Wildflower Country Club on November 3rd and walked away with the tournament championship. The team score of 327 surpassed second place Copperas Cove by 11 strokes. The day started off chilly and warmed up; the course started off challenging and stayed that way all day! The team overcame very fast greens and challenging hole locations to take the championship trophy.
The team was led by senior Jackson Null who shot a very impressive two over par 74. That score included a fantastic birdie on the difficult par 3 fourth hole. Jackson sank a 20 foot putt that included over three feet of break! Following Jackson Senior Braydon Hoff shot a great score of 81. Brayden played steady golf throughout the tournament and managed errant shots to save strokes. Right behind Brayden Senior Gavin Kerr posted a very nice 84, which included winning the “Long Drive” competition on the long and up-hill ninth hole. Senior Miles Parker placed fourth on the team shooting a good 88. Junior Kaiden Beaty rounded out the team by shooting 89 to break 90 in his first tournament on the Varsity Silver team.
The boys are excited to tee it up in the semester finale at Lost Pines (formerly Wolfdancer) on December the 2nd in Bastrop.
