The Lake Belton Freshman Girls Basketball team opened their season with an exciting 54–47 overtime victory against Killeen High School. The game was packed with energy, hustle, and determination from start to finish, setting the tone for what promises to be a competitive season.

With seconds left on the clock, Presley Pilkington hit a clutch three-point shot to tie the game and send it into overtime — igniting the crowd and giving the Lady Broncos the momentum they needed to finish strong.

In overtime, Lexi Walker and Tiliyah Kyando led the offensive charge, combining for 26 points on the night. Both players showed great composure and consistency, attacking the basket and capitalizing on key opportunities. Elsa Hayes wasn’t far behind, contributing 11 points and providing strong support on both ends of the court.

Defensively, the Lady Broncos were relentless. Their high-pressure defense kept Killeen on their heels all game, forcing turnovers and limiting scoring chances. Every player contributed to the team’s success, showing grit, communication, and teamwork throughout all four quarters and overtime.
