The Lake Belton Lady Broncos launched their 2025–26 season in dominant fashion Tuesday night, defeating Killeen High 84–39 in their home opener. The performance set the tone for what looks to be a fast-paced, defensive-minded team that thrives off pressure, transition opportunities, and balanced scoring.

The Lady Broncos came out firing, putting up 27 points in the first quarter and never looking back. Their defensive intensity proved overwhelming, forcing 37 Killeen turnovers and translating them into 32 points—an area where Lake Belton controlled the game wire-to-wire. Lake Belton also recorded an impressive 46 deflections and 27 steals, showcasing the aggressive defensive identity the team has been developing throughout the offseason.

Offensively, Lake Belton attacked efficiently, shooting 47.2% from the field and moving the ball with control and confidence. The Lady Broncos finished with 23 assists, showing early-season chemistry and unselfish play.

#3 Aniya Taylor led the scoring effort with 21 points, shooting 9-of-12 from the field while adding 7 assists, 10 deflections, and 5 steals—a two-way standout performance.

#22 Olivia Dann followed with 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting and contributed 4 steals, playing a major role in the team's transition rhythm.

#10 Alexa King fueled both ends of the court with 12 points, 4 offensive rebounds, and 7 deflections, constantly creating second-chance opportunities.

#1 Gemma Pierce and #2 Layla King contributed valuable minutes in the guard rotation, combining for 9 points, 4 assists, and 11 deflections.

Off the bench, #14 Brylee Craddick and #5 Dannika Kelley added scoring and defensive energy, combining for 9 points and 4 steals.
