The Freshman girls basketball teams took on Franklin High School this week, showing grit and determination despite both teams falling short on the scoreboard.
The Freshman Silver team fought hard throughout their matchup but ultimately came up short, losing 15–30. Despite the loss, the team’s effort never wavered, keeping defensive pressure on Franklin until the final buzzer. Elizah led the way offensively, scoring 9 points and setting the tone for the team’s intensity on both ends of the court.
The Freshman Red team faced a tough challenge, competing against Franklin’s JV squad, and fell 20–64. While the score didn’t reflect their effort, the girls showed resilience and refused to back down. Kayden stood out as the highlight player, contributing 6 points and demonstrating relentless defensive effort — consistently blocking out opponents and battling for rebounds all game long.
Both teams displayed heart, hustle, and teamwork that will serve them well as the season continues.
