Facing a challenging matchup against an older LaVega Junior Varsity squad, the Lake Belton Freshman B team displayed grit and determination on the court. While the final score favored LaVega 41-13, the Broncos defined the game with their unwavering hustle and heart.

Despite the score gap, Lake Belton never stopped attacking offensively. Eliza O'Bannon led the way for the Broncos, putting up a team-high 7 points. She was supported by Alyssa Salazar, who fought hard to add 5 points to the board.

The Broncos’ spirit was perhaps most evident on the defensive end of the floor. Cheyanne Turner and Samiyah Lemus anchored the defense, providing great effort and pressure throughout the contest.

In the backcourt, Haylee King played a pivotal role in moving the ball, doing an excellent job initiating the transition offense and trying to spark momentum for Lake Belton.

While the scoreboard didn't fall in their favor, the Freshman B team’s performance against a JV opponent showed resilience and a "never quit" attitude that serves as a building block for the rest of the season.

They will be back in action at home on Monday November 24.
