The Bronco Boys JV golf teams competed at the Waco Heart of Texas Fall Invitational at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course in Waco. The weather was about as good as it gets at Cottonwood, which means light winds! The fairways and greens were outstanding, and the boys played well. The JV Silver team finished up in fourth place with a team score of 379. Leading The Silver Team Sophomore Weston Minzak finished with a great score of 85, which placed him in the top ten for the tournament field! Junior Landon Casperson finished the contest by shooting a solid 96. Right behind Landon Senior Eric Gulley turned in a score card of 98, and Junior Lyrik Smith just missed breaking 100, turning a score card of 100.
The JV Red team also played in this tournament and finished with a team score of 413. Leading the boys freshman Michael Stawski shot a personal best 91. Second on the team Junior Andrew Hardin posted a score of 101. Junior Trysten Reese finished third on the team with a score of 109. Liam Leon and Kason Taylor rounded out the team scores with a 112 and 116 respectively.
The boys will tee it up again in 2026 at Hancock Park in Lampasas!
