The Lake Belton Freshman Broncos put together a hard-fought weekend in the Belton ISD Tournament, finishing with one win and two close losses.
The Broncos opened the tournament with an exciting 35–34 victory over Waco Robinson. Strong defensive pressure and timely scoring helped Lake Belton secure the one-point win to start the weekend on a high note.
In their second matchup, the Broncos faced a tough Killeen squad and fell 52–47 despite a standout performance from Lexi Walker, who lit up the scoreboard with 28 points. Her dominant offensive effort kept the Broncos in the game from start to finish.
Lake Belton closed out tournament play against A&M Consolidated, competing wire-to-wire before ultimately falling 45–38. Camryn Rousell led the way in this contest with 12 points, providing consistency on both ends of the court.
While the Broncos finished 1–2 on the weekend, the team showed resilience, improvement, and several strong individual performances that will carry momentum into their upcoming games.
