Wrestlers, Parents, and Guardians,
We had a great week of competition last week. Varsity competed well in Burleson, earning multiple individual victories along with team victories for both the girls and boys.
There are adjustments to this week’s schedule, and additional changes may occur as the week progresses. Please read the information below carefully. Any updates will be shared as soon as they are available.
Assessments & Grades:
This is a very important week for academics, assessments, and grades. The second nine-weeks grading period ends on December 19.
Any athlete failing a class on December 19 will lose eligibility for the next semester beginning January 12. Athletes will not be able to regain eligibility until after the district tournament, which would effectively end their season.
Please make sure athletes are:
Checking Skyward daily
Communicating with teachers
Attending tutorials and Team Time
Academics must remain a priority.
Practice Schedule:
Monday & Tuesday: Full team practice at 4:45 PM
Thursday: Varsity and select JV practice at 4:45 PM
Friday: Varsity and select JV practice at 2:45 PM
Wednesday Dual @ Lampasas:
We will travel to Lampasas on Wednesday for a dual. Salado has dropped out, so we will compete only against Lampasas High School.
Start Time: 6:30 PM
Due to 8th period assessments, there will be no early dismissal.
Varsity boys and girls will compete as normal.
Select JV wrestlers will also compete.
The Lampasas coach and I are working to match JV wrestlers based on last Friday’s weigh-ins. A list of JV wrestlers competing will be posted Monday evening.
Hill Country Tournament @ Vista Ridge High School:
Our final tournament of 2025 will be on Saturday, December 20, at Vista Ridge High School.
We will compete against teams from Central Texas, San Antonio, Houston, and the Rio Grande Valley. This tournament takes place after the official start of Winter Break and will be followed by a week off for Christmas.
Holiday Practice Schedule:
Wrestling practice will continue during Winter Break with the following schedule:
December 21 – December 28: No practice
December 29 – January 1: Practice from 8:30–10:00 AM
January 2 – January 3: Dallas Kimball and CenTex Tournaments
