The Lake Belton wrestling program competed this weekend at the Hill Country Invitational at Vista Ridge High School, with both the girls and boys varsity teams earning solid results against strong competition.

The girls varsity team placed 13th overall with 31 team points. Alayna Royals (130) and Akira Beck (145) advanced into the semifinal and consolation rounds. At 190 pounds, Kameryn Vaden earned multiple victories and finished 3rd overall, while Lorelai Scallorn also claimed 3rd place at 235 pounds after a dominant run through the consolation bracket.

The boys varsity team finished 18th overall with 23 team points. Kameron Adams (132) recorded multiple wins in the consolation rounds, while Carl Huffman (138) earned two victories by fall. Akshar Parikh (144) and Jacob Copley (157) each added wins by fall, and James Holt (126), Jesse Whitmire (150), and Makana Latta (165) competed in tough weight classes.

Both boys and girls varsity teams will compete next at the Bill Neal Classic at Dallas Kimball High School on January 2–3.
