The Lake Belton Lady Broncos continued their strong district run with a 66–52 road victory over Waco High on Friday, January 16, at Waco High School.

Lake Belton set the tone early, jumping out to a 20–13 lead after the first quarter and extending the advantage to 38–23 by halftime. The Lady Broncos stayed in control throughout the third quarter and closed the game strong to secure the 14-point win.

Alexa King led all scorers with an impressive 27 points, shooting 11-of-23 from the field while also adding 9 rebounds, 3 steals, and a block. Erica Taylor followed with a strong all-around performance, finishing with 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. Ayaana Omisola provided an efficient scoring spark, contributing 9 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including a three-pointer.

Layla King chipped in 7 points and 3 assists, while Gemma Pierce helped on the glass with 8 offensive rebounds. Lake Belton also received valuable contributions from Dannika Kelley, Ariella Polley, and Olivia Dann, who all played key roles defensively and on the boards.

With the win, Lake Belton improves to 26–1 overall and 3–0 in district play, continuing an outstanding season.

The Lady Broncos will be back in action on Tuesday, January 20, when they travel to Chaparral High School. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
