Lake Belton Girls Basketball recently hosted Court Side Connections, a special clinic designed to bring families together through the game of basketball while empowering parents to support their young athletes at home.
Held on January 21 in the Bronco Gymnasium, the clinic welcomed girls in 2nd through 6th grade and their parents for an evening focused on skill development, learning, and connection. The event emphasized simple, effective backyard drills that families can use to help young players grow without needing expensive equipment or advanced training resources.
What made Court Side Connections especially meaningful was that parents of current Lady Bronco players led and ran each session. These parents shared practical drills, teaching techniques, and routines they have personally used with their own athletes, giving attending families real-world examples of how development can happen outside of organized practices.
By learning directly from parents who have experienced the journey firsthand, participants gained confidence and a clearer understanding of how parental involvement plays a vital role in an athlete’s growth. The clinic reinforced the message that improvement does not have to be complicated or costly, and that consistent support at home can make a lasting impact.
Lake Belton Girls Basketball is proud to continue creating opportunities that strengthen community connections while investing in the future of the program. Events like Court Side Connections reflect the program’s commitment to development, education, and building strong relationships—both on and off the court.
