Belton ISD extends its sincere gratitude to Coach Brian Cope for his tireless work ethic, leadership and unwavering commitment to our student-athletes and community. Coach Cope has accepted the position of head football coach and campus coordinator at New Caney West Fork High School.
Since the opening of Lake Belton High School in 2020, Coach Cope has played a pivotal role in building a premier athletic program from the ground up. Under his leadership, the Broncos football program reached the playoffs in every year of postseason eligibility, an impressive achievement that reflects his dedication to excellence both on and off the field.
Beyond wins and losses, Coach Cope made a lasting impact through his leadership in community service initiatives and events that strengthened the connection between our schools and the community. He was also instrumental in launching the Night of Champions, a signature event that has become a meaningful and celebrated tradition in Belton ISD.
We are grateful for Coach Cope's foundational leadership and for setting the standard of what it means to be a Bronco. We wish Coach Cope and his family continued success in this next chapter.
