The Lake Belton JV Silver Boys Soccer team opened district play in dominant fashion Friday night, cruising to a 4–0 victory over Ellison JV in a complete team performance.

The Broncos wasted little time setting the tone, applying steady pressure and controlling possession throughout the match. Abdul Khan got the scoring started with a confident unassisted goal, breaking through the Ellison defense to put Lake Belton on the board.

Momentum continued to swing the Broncos’ way as Matthew Pettyjohn doubled the lead, finishing a well-timed setup from Khan, showcasing strong chemistry in the attacking third. The Broncos carried that energy into set pieces, where Aiden Lee rose above the defense and powered home a header off a corner kick from Niko Herrich, extending the lead to 3–0.

Lake Belton capped the scoring from the penalty spot, as Diego Garcia calmly converted a penalty kick, putting the match firmly out of reach.

Defensively, the Broncos were just as sharp. Austin Adams and Josiah Briggs split time in goal and combined for the shutout, anchoring a back line that limited Ellison’s chances and stayed organized from start to finish.

With the win, Lake Belton JV Silver begins district play undefeated, setting a strong early standard as they look to build momentum moving forward.
