The Lake Belton Boys JV Silver Soccer Team earned an impressive 3–1 victory over Chaparral High School on Friday night, combining early pressure, set-piece excellence, and clutch goalkeeping to secure the win.

The Broncos wasted no time getting on the scoreboard. Layton Evans struck just five minutes into the match, finishing an unassisted goal that set the tempo and gave Lake Belton early momentum. The aggressive start put Chaparral on the defensive and allowed JV Silver to control much of the opening half.

Lake Belton extended its lead off a set piece when Aiden Lee powered home a header from a perfectly placed Nikolaus Herrich free kick, showcasing strong positioning and teamwork in the attacking third. Later in the match, Matthew Pettyjohn added insurance with a direct free-kick goal, putting the game firmly out of reach.

Defensively, the Broncos were anchored by solid goalkeeping from both netminders. Brody Crocker delivered a shutout first half, organizing the back line and denying Chaparral any clean looks on goal. In the second half, Josiah Briggs stepped in and sealed the victory with a strong performance, highlighted by a huge penalty-kick save that preserved Lake Belton’s control late in the match.

JV Silver will look to build on the momentum as they return home Tuesday night to take on University High School.
