The Lake Belton Lady Broncos opened the playoffs in impressive fashion Monday night, defeating Midlothian High School 65-40 in the first round of postseason play.
Lake Belton wasted no time setting the tone. The Lady Broncos exploded out of the gates, building a commanding 30-8 lead by the end of the first quarter. Their defensive pressure and offensive efficiency created early separation that proved difficult for Midlothian to overcome.

When it mattered most, Lake Belton turned up the heat once again. The Lady Broncos outscored their opponent 17-9 in the fourth quarter, sealing the 65-40 victory and securing the Bi-District Championship title.
