The Bronco JV Golf Team travelled to Colovista Golf Course in Bastrop to play some Hill Country Tournament Golf and came home with the first-place plaque! Playing in unfamiliar terrain, with considerable elevation changes on many holes, the boys prevailed and emerged victorious with a total team score of 374. The team was led by Freshman newcomer Carter Johnson, who turned a score of 84 which also placed him in third place individually for the tournament. Just four strokes behind Carter, freshman Michael Stawski shot a very nice 88. Junior Andrew Hardin also broke 100 by turning in a score of 95. The team score was rounded out by Junior Joseph Aragon who a total of 107 strokes. Freshman Kason Taylor was unfortunately unable to finish due to a quadricep injury playing in the very uneven terrain.
Also playing in the tournament The Bronco’s second JV team finished with a total of 466 strokes. That team was led by Junior Duncan Moore who turned in a scorecard of 111. Duncan was followed by freshman Caleb Sutterfield (playing in his first ever high school golf tournament), who shot 114. Newcomers Cooper Craven and Cade Mock rounded out the team with score of 120 and 121, respectively.
