Lake Belton JV Red opened their home tournament with a dramatic comeback, topping Temple 8-7. Trailing by as many as five runs early, Lake Belton rallied behind a strong middle lineup, with Bronson driving in two runs and Powers going 1-for-1 with two stolen bases. Seideman earned the win in relief.

The team carried momentum into Thursday, easily dispatching Harker Heights 14-1. Bronson, Larson, and Bowen led the offensive charge, with Larson driving in two runs and Bronson going 2-for-2. Lake Belton showcased patience at the plate with eight walks and swiped 11 bases. Fish and Ogelsby combined for a strong pitching performance, allowing only one run.

Friday’s matchup against Vista Ridge ended in a 7-2 victory. Bronson again paced the offense with two RBIs, while Kuechenmeister earned the win on the mound with four innings, eight strikeouts, and three walks. Lake Belton continued to pressure opposing defenses, collecting seven walks and six stolen bases.

The tournament ended on a tough note as Lake Belton fell 14-0 to Rouse in the championship game, finishing the weekend with a 3-1 record. Despite the final loss, the team displayed resilience, strong base running, and solid pitching throughout the tournament.
