From the opening whistle, Lake Belton showed energy and determination, pressing forward and working together to control possession. The defensive line stayed organized early, communicating well and stepping in to disrupt Waco’s attacking runs. In the midfield, the team focused on quick passes and movement, looking to create opportunities in transition.

Waco University struck first midway through the opening half, capitalizing on a quick counterattack. Despite the setback, Lake Belton JV Red remained composed and continued to compete. The squad generated several promising chances, with forwards making aggressive runs and midfielders delivering quality balls into the box, but they were unable to convert before halftime.

In the second half, Lake Belton pushed the tempo, emphasizing teamwork and relentless effort. The back line absorbed pressure while the goalkeeper made key saves to keep the match within reach. The sideline energy never faded, as teammates encouraged one another and fought for every loose ball.

Waco University eventually added to their lead late in the match, but the scoreline didn’t fully reflect Lake Belton’s fight and unity throughout the night. The team’s resilience and willingness to battle until the final whistle stood out, even in defeat.

Though the result wasn’t what Lake Belton JV Red hoped for, the game provided valuable lessons and momentum to build on. With continued focus, communication, and teamwork, the squad looks to bounce back stronger in their next outing.
