Belton Relays and Desoto Nike Invitational | 3/4/2026

It was a weekend of high speeds and long distances for the Lake Belton Lady Broncos as the program split forces to take on two major stages. While a deep roster battled it out locally at the Belton Relays, an elite group of Varsity athletes headed north to the prestigious DeSoto Nike Invitational to test their mettle against some of the fastest talent in the state.

The result? Three new school records and a mountain of personal bests.

The atmosphere at the DeSoto Nike Invitational clearly agreed with the Lady Broncos. Competing against elite-level competition, Lake Belton didn’t just keep up—they rewrote the record books. Bella Garcia was on a mission, clocking a 25.50 in the 200m dash to claim 9th place and secure a new school record. She also held her own in the 100m, finishing 8th with a blazing 12.32. Moriah Rydberg flew over the barriers in the 300m hurdles, finishing 5th overall. Her time of 46.55 marks a new school record, proving she is one of the top technicians in the region. The quartet of Kalei Cress, Aleya Russell, Nylah Berrian, and Bella Garcia left it all on the track in the 4x100m relay. Their 5th-place finish of 47.60 is the new school record, setting a high bar for the rest of the season.

Other Notable DeSoto Finishes:
Nylah Berrian: 3rd Place, 400m (57.95)
Danni Kelly: 8th Place, 300m Hurdles (48.10)
4x200m Relay: 5th Place (1:45.84)

Back at home, the Varsity squad showed incredible versatility across field events and distance runs. Lexi Walker was the standout workhorse of the meet, scoring in three different events, highlighted by a 3rd place finish in the Long Jump.

The Lady Broncos leapt into the spotlight with two top-five finishes in the horizontal jumps.
Long Jump: Lexi Walker – 3rd Place (15'5")
Triple Jump: Camryn Mikulas – 4th Place (35'0")
The endurance and technical skill of the Varsity squad were on full display as they battled through the 1600m and 3200m events.

1600m Run: Lucy Loa – 6th Place (5:51.23)

Avery Reinhardt soared to a silver medal in the Triple Jump, while Alayna Fulton and Sophia Garza dominated the distance events, both placing in the top five in the 1600m.
