The Lake Belton JV Silver Soccer Team closed out their season Thursday evening with a hard-fought 3–3 draw against Waco High School, showcasing resilience and teamwork in an exciting season finale.
The Broncos came out with strong energy, moving the ball well and creating early chances in the attacking third. Their persistence paid off when Nikolaus Herrich opened the scoring with a powerful header off a perfectly placed corner kick from Diego Garcia, giving Lake Belton an early advantage.
Waco responded with pressure of their own, but the Broncos continued to push forward offensively. Tyler Adkins added another goal for Lake Belton, finishing a well-developed play after receiving a strong assist from Abdul Khan. The combination play highlighted the Broncos’ ability to connect passes and capitalize on opportunities in front of goal.
Later in the match, the duo returned the favor. Abdul Khan found the back of the net after a quality assist from Tyler Adkins, extending the Broncos’ scoring and keeping the momentum on Lake Belton’s side.
Despite the Broncos’ offensive efforts, Waco managed to respond with goals of their own, and the match ultimately ended in a 3–3 tie after an intense back-and-forth battle.
The draw served as a fitting end to the season for the JV Silver squad, who showed determination, teamwork, and growth throughout the year. With contributions across the field and strong attacking combinations, the Broncos demonstrated the progress they have made and the potential that lies ahead as they continue to develop as players and teammates.
