The Lake Belton Broncos had a final tune-up before district play with a game against the College Station Cougars. Lake jumped out to an 8-0 lead and survived a late rally by the Cougars to win by a final sore of 8-6. With the win Lake is now 11-5-3 on the season. The Broncos will open up district play with a Belton ISD clash against the Belton Tigers. Lake will travel to Belton on Tuesday to open the series before finishing the series at home on Friday. Both games are set for a 7:00 p.m. first pitch.
