Varsity Boys Claim 5th at Temple Relays with Big Wins and a New School Record

The Lake Broncos Varsity Boys battled through a stacked field at the Temple Relays, earning a strong 5th-place team finish highlighted by a massive triple jump victory and a school-record performance on the track.

Field Events Launch the Charge, Broncos opened with big points in the jumps and throws:

• High Jump: Allen Muchunu cleared 5’6” for 6th.

• Pole Vault: Drew Houston soared to 3rd at 13’0”(PR).

• Triple Jump: Ji’yson Sherman dominated the event, winning 1st with a huge 45’2”.

• Discus: Keegan Hedrick delivered a strong 4th-place throw of 123’6”.


The highlight of the day came in the 1600m, where:

• Wyatt Potts smashed the school record, winning 1st in 4:44.81 (PR).
He returned later for 6th in the 3200m (10:46.03).

Sprints & Relays Keep the Broncos in the Hunt

• 4x100 Relay: 6th in a fast 42.54 with Harness, Stevens, Bridges and Onchweri.

• 100m Dash: Zion Harness blazed to 2nd (10.80), with Christian Onchweri close behind in 4th (10.96).

• 4x200 Relay: Harmon, Griffith, Bridges, and Onchweri placed 6th.

• 400m: Prince Moore clocked a strong 50.53 for 6th.

• 300m Hurdles: Noah Stevens hit a PR of 41.70, finishing 7th.

• 4x400 Relay: Griffith, Harness, Sherman, and Haye closed the meet with a 5th-place finish.


The Broncos showed depth, speed, and resilience across the board, exactly the kind of performance that builds momentum heading into championship season.

Broncos return to action on Thursday, March 26th at their home meet, the Broncos Relay.
