The Lake Broncos Varsity Girls delivered a powerhouse performance at the Temple Relays, surging to an impressive 2nd-place team finish behind a wave of personal records, podium placements, and a brand-new school record.
The Broncos opened the meet with grit and consistency in the pits and on the apron:
• High Jump: Danni Kelley soared to 3rd (5-0), with teammate Ayaana Omisola adding points in 6th (4-6).
• Long Jump: Kelley returned with a strong 6th-place leap of 16’9.50.
• Triple Jump: Camryn Mikulas powered to 3rd with a mark of 36’5.50.
Distance Dominance & a New School Record
The 3200m was all Broncos.
• Keira Dzenowski shattered the school record, racing to 3rd in 12:26.95.
• Sarah Gray (4th, 12:37.72) and Madelyn Rivas (5th, 12:43.50) completed a commanding trio.
The Broncos sprint crew kept the momentum rolling:
• 4x100 Relay: Aleya Russell, Nylah Berrian, Lexi Walker, and Bella Garcia blasted to 3rd in 48.57.
• 800m: Alexa King dominated the field, taking 1st in 2:25.43.
• 100m Hurdles: Danni Kelley (6th, 16.61) and Jaycie Sheard (7th, 17.39) added key points.
• 100m: Bella Garcia sprinted to 6th in 12.13.
• 4x200 Relay: Debose, Walker, Sanders, and Russell finished 4th in 1:45.46.
• 400m: Nylah Berrian crushed the field with a 1st-place 58.50.
• 300m Hurdles: PRs poured in—Kelley (4th, 47.21 PR), Mikulas (5th, 47.26 PR), and Rydberg (6th, 48.29).
• 200m: Berrian returned with a 4th-place PR of 25.53.
• 1600m: King took 2nd (5:36.50), followed by Dzenowski (6th, 5:49.53) and Lucy Loa (7th, 5:50.42).
With firepower across every event group, the Broncos proved once again that they are one of the most complete and competitive squads in Central Texas. Broncos are back in the track this Thursday, March 26th at their home meet “THE Broncos Relay”.
