The Lake Belton Junior Varsity Broncos showed great patience and focus on Friday, securing a 15-4 win over Waco High School.

The Broncos' offensive effort was defined by a "team-first" mentality. By staying patient and working the count, the squad drew a total of 18 walks, consistently keeping the line moving.

In the first and second innings, RBI walks from Briley Shirley, Sophia Letts, Mecca Jefferson, and Alana Martinez helped the team build an early lead. The discipline continued into the third, where Raelynn Hunt and Aiyana Rountree also earned walks to drive in runs. It was a complete group effort, with Aralina Acosta, Sophia Letts, Raelynn Hunt, Briley Shirley, Adalyn Ramos, Kennedy Jacobs, and Aiyana Rountree all showing a sharp eye to lead the team with two walks each.

While the walks kept the bases busy, the Broncos remained active on the paths. The team combined for 30 stolen bases, with several players—including Carly Frosch, Mecca Jefferson, Sophia Letts, Raelynn Hunt, Briley Shirley, Catalina Esquivel, Kennedy Jacobs, and Aiyana Rountree—recording multiple steals to help their teammates into scoring position.

On the defensive side, Aryana Teague put in a solid performance in the circle. Pitching all four innings, Teague kept the game steady by striking out seven and allowing only two hits.

The Broncos are set to resume play on Tuesday night, as they match up against Chaparral High School at home.
