The Lake Belton Varsity Broncos put together a complete team effort on Tuesday for Teacher appreciation night, securing a 12-0 victory over the Chaparral Bobcats. It was a well-rounded performance characterized by disciplined hitting, aggressive base running, and a dominant collective showing from the pitching staff.
The Broncos’ bats were active early, totaling 12 hits over five innings. Avery Park provided a major spark in the third, clearing the fences with a three-run home run to center field.
Several players contributed to the steady offensive rhythm: Isabell Magana, Analicia Diaz, and Alaysha Williams each tallied two hits. Addison Sims, Analicia Diaz, and Madison Naser each drove in runs to help build the early lead. The team was highly active on the bags, recording 12 stolen bases. Isabell Magana led the way with five, while Alaysha Williams and Alexis Walker each swiped two.
The Lake Belton pitching staff delivered a commanding collective performance, combining for a three-hit shutout with 10 total strikeouts. Natalie Hosch earned the win with two dominant, hitless innings and four strikeouts. Lilliana Herrera maintained the momentum in the third, yielding no hits and striking out one, while Kayleigh Jackson closed out the final two frames, striking out five batters to seal the victory.
While the Broncos enjoyed a productive night at the plate and on the mound, their focus now shifts to their next challenge. Lake Belton will travel to face University this Thursday in another tough district matchup.
