The Lake Belton Junior Varsity Broncos showcased their offensive depth on Thursday, traveling to Waco and returning with a hard-fought 15-8 victory over the University Trojans.

The story of the game was Mecca Jefferson, who delivered the definitive blow in the second inning. With the bases loaded, Jefferson connected on a towering grand slam, accounting for four RBIs in a single swing. Her home run provided the spark the Broncos needed to pull away and maintain control of the scoreboard throughout the afternoon.

Lake Belton hammered out four doubles on the day, courtesy of Adalyn Ramos, Aiyana Rountree, Aralina Acosta, and Kennedy Jacobs.

The Broncos' offensive production was a true team effort:

Aiyana Rountree and Kennedy Jacobs each recorded 3 total bases.

Adalyn Ramos and Aralina Acosta finished with 2 total bases apiece.

Carly Frosch and Raelynn Hunt each contributed base hits to the tally.

The team also showcased their discipline and speed, with Aryana Teague, Briley Shirley, and Raelynn Hunt all reaching base after being hit by pitches. Once on the bags, the Broncos remained aggressive, recording four stolen bases—one each from Aryana Teague, Kennedy Jacobs, Raelynn Hunt, and Sophia Letts.

On the mound, Aryana Teague earned the victory for the Broncos. In her two innings of work, she struck out three University batters and navigated through three hits to keep Lake Belton in the lead.

The JV Broncos will look to carry the momentum from this high-scoring road win into next week. Like the varsity squad, they will resume play on Tuesday as they head to Belton for a major showdown against their district rivals, the Belton Tigers.
